OUR OLIVE OIL
Our range of early harvest extra virgin olive oil is made from Massanell, Negral and Arbequina olives. These single-variety olive oils are made from two varieties of olive native to Vall de Barcedana in Pallars Jussà (Negral and Massanell). We also produce olive oil from Arbequina olives grown in the mountains. Although the Arbequina variety is not native to this region, it has adapted extremely well and has even developed its own unique qualities due to the valley’s altitude and latitude. As a novelty, we have also produced a blend of Arbequina + Verdal del Pallars of which we are very satisfied.
OUR OLIVE OIL
Our range of early harvest extra virgin olive oil is made from Massanell, Negral and Arbequina olives. Massanell: olives have an extremely pleasant, fruity aroma with more of a spicy than a bitter flavour. They share certain qualities with nuts such as almonds and walnuts. The oil from this variety is rich in polyphenols and has an intense flavour profile of green fruit, with a very strong mouthfeel.
Negral: olive oil is low in polyphenols, which makes it smooth, balanced and aromatic.
Arbequina: olive oil has a fresh, fruity aroma that creates a bouquet reminiscent of grass and green fruit. Although this variety is less spicy and more bitter, the bitterness never becomes unpleasant: on the contrary, this olive oil has a long finish at just the right intensity level, which makes it a highly enjoyable experience for the palate.
Arbequina + Verdal del Pallars: fruity green leaves with a sweet attack, but with persistent bitterness and spice.

Our olive oils are presented in slim 25 and 50 cl bottles with a built-in dispenser to highlight their outstanding quality. Each bottle is designed as a little reminder of the region it comes from. Every effort has been made to ensure that the label, image and, above all, the content magically transport consumers to Vall de Barcedana.
ARTISANAL OLIVE OIL
Vall de Barcedana has traditionally been a producer of high-quality olives and extra virgin olive oil, but the olives were always harvested late in the season. Our decision to set our brand apart by harvesting and producing oil from young, green olives has proved to be an excellent one. Our range of olive oils of extraordinary quality and surprising flavour have been rated extremely highly by tasting panels.
